Food Education & Action Fellow

Position Type: Part-time/Seasonal. Start date is May 1, through fall, 2024, with potential for this position to continue and evolve with ACT’s growing capacity.
Pay Type: Hourly, $20/hour 
Hours: Flexible/Part-time hours

TerraCorps Service Position

Youth Education Coordinator
The Youth Education Coordinator is an 11-month service opportunity through TerraCorps, an AmeriCorps Program. The Youth Education Coordinator serves with Aquidneck Community Table, a TerraCorps service site, starting in August and continuing through the end of July. Applications will open May 2024.

Service members in 2024/25 will receive:
A biweekly living allowance, before taxes, that amounts to $27,000 for the full service term.
A $7,395.00 AmeriCorps Segal Education Award upon satisfactory completion of the service term.
Health insurance coverage (if eligible).
Child care benefits (if eligible).
Forbearance of most federally-guaranteed student loans, and payment of interest accrued during service.
Qualified eligibility for SNAP benefits in Rhode Island and SNAP/HIP benefits in Massachusetts.
Mentorship, training, and career development opportunities while serving directly with community-based nonprofits.
